Who finances Fine Gael?

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Many who voted in the election believe they voted for “change” but in fact haven’t. These New Unhappy Lords  have no loyalty to the Nation.Whilst many voted and gave them a “mandate”, thousands more didn’t.Ireland and the Irish people deserve better.  We certainly agree with the sentiment below that the new boss is the same as the old boss.

The Star – Eamon Dunphy,

Excerpts Takin From Saturdays Star Newspaper.

Enda Kenny will lead a deeply unpopular government. It is a government that will continue with the Fianna Fail project. It is a government that will continue to crush the Irish people with a debt burden that is beyond comprehension.
Hundreds of thousands of people will be driven into debilitating poverty. Hundreds of thousands will be forced to emigrate.

The same people who where cheerleading in the media for Brian Cowan and Brian Lenihan are now flying the flag for Kenny and Michael Noonan.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Does anyone seriously think that Kenny and Noonan will be agents of change? Between them, they have been in the Dail for over 75 years. They are embedded in a rotten political culture.
Noonan has got an easy ride in recent times.  Do people forget what he did when he was Minister for Health? Noonan persecuted women with Hepatitis C.
He threatened Bridgit McCole on her death-bed with a hefty costs bill if she didn’t accept the compensation offered to her.
That was what Noonan was like when he was in power.
Fine Gael has always been the party of the south Dublin barristers, the wealthy farmers, schoolteachers and auctioneers of rural Ireland.

It is is the party of Peter Sutherland, an utter-capitalist who has resided in the belly of the beast with Goldman Sachs, BP and Royal Bank of Scotland.

It has always been the party of privilege and many within its ranks have contempt for the working classes. Fine Gael did have its  liberal phase under Garret Fitzgerald – but it was no more than a passing fad,
At heart,it  is a right-wing party and that will become clearer soon.

Crisis Advice

The weekly column of Bishop Richard Williamson SSPX.

ELEISON  COMMENTS  CLXXXIX  ( Feb 26, 2011) :  CRISIS  ADVICE

The Catherine Austin Fitts referred to in last week's "Eleison Comments" as quoting a Washington insider boasting how the modern world is run on fantasy, was herself a Washington insider, having been Assistant Secretary of Housing in the administration of George Bush Senior. She knows what she is talking about. In the same interview she had other interesting remarks to make, in particular the advice she would give to the average American concerned about his economic future and who wants to preserve his wealth and quality of life. She said  (see www.321gold.com, Feb 2, "We are victims of a Financial Coup d'Etat") :--

"Your time and attention count. Stop listening to or associating with people or institutions that have a vested      interest in centralization. Start by turning off your TV. Shift your deposits, purchases, and donations to people   and companies that you can trust.

"Lower your overhead. Use your time to build as many skills as possible that can help you do more for yourself and barter with those around you. Invest in tangibles, including precious metals. Do not allow yourself to be drained by what I call the "slow burn". Finally, build your understanding and ability to engage in spiritual warfare. The financial corruption is a symptom of a much deeper and very invasive moral and cultural problem. Organize your life to serve whom and what you love.

"Protect your health. The food and water supply is slowly being controlled and poisoned. Taking steps to assure local sources of fresh food and water is essential for your health. So is educating yourself on steps you can take to detox your body and build your immune system. The rise of environmental and electromagnetic pollution calls for a level of effort to maintain physical energy and strength that was unthinkable a decade ago."

In the same line of thinking and on the same web-site (Jan. 17, "Waiting for a Hero" by Larry Laborde) is another paragraph of highly practical advice for anyone who can see trouble coming :--

"So what should the average citizen of these great United States do at this point? Avoid municipal bonds like the plague. They will default first. Avoid long term US bonds as well. Short term US notes (6 months or less) are probably OK for now but keep your finger on the sell trigger. Cut back on all expenses and raise cash. Live BELOW your means. Save cash and hedge that cash with precious metals. Keep your cash in local credit unions or locally owned banks. Check their ratings and make sure you are saving in the safest institutions in your area. Cut up those credit cards and quit using them. Pay cash for your purchases. Keep 2 months of cash on hand in an emergency fund. Invest your precious metals 50% in gold and 50% in silver. Invest in physical precious metals when possible. For small investors a good investment is to simply purchase 6 months of non-perishable supplies that they normally use every day. They will probably cost 5 to 10% more in 6 months (not a bad return). Plant a garden or support a local farmer (or both)."

In brief, wake up! To wake up, readers, start by turning off the television set. Live not beyond your means, but well within them. Save cash, invest locally and invest in precious metals. Get at least mentally out of the rat race, and get mentally from the virtual back to the real.  Stop using credit cards. Lay in some food supplies, but be careful what you eat and drink. Wake up to the enemies of mankind poisoning food and water in pursuit of global control, part of a war on mankind which is fundamentally spiritual.  Catholics, get your Faith onto a war footing !

Bernard Nathanson has died

http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=9344

Bernard Nathanson, who was one of the leading figures in the abortion industry before he converted to the pro-life cause and the Catholic faith, died on February 21 in New York at the age of 84.

Nathanson estimated that he performed 5,000 abortions personally, and as director of busy abortion clinics he supervised more than 70,000 abortions. He was co-founder of the group now known as NARAL, and helped craft the arguments in favor of abortion on demand. But Nathanson experienced a profound change of heart, and eventually embraced the pro-life cause.

In 1985 the former abortionist produced The Silent Scream, a highly influential film that showed ultrasound images of the unborn child in the womb. Later, in his book Aborting America, he revealed how he and other abortion advocates had distorted facts— notably by concocting false statistics on the number of deaths from illegal abortion—in order to gain public acceptance of the practice. In later years he expressed profound remorse for his participation both in the destruction of unborn children and in the propaganda campaign to promote the abortion industry. “I am one of those who helped usher in this barbaric age,” he confessed.

In a later book, his 1996 autobiography The Hand of God, Nathanson recounted the next step in his dramatic conversion: his entrance into the Catholic Church. He was baptized that year by Cardinal John O’Connor of New York. His godmother was Joan Andrews Bell, who had once spent more than a year in prison—much of it in solitary confinement—for her involvement in non-violent efforts to blockade abortion clinics.

Protest against the Labour party

Thought and Action was represented at a very successful picket outside the office of Derek Nolan in Galway last Friday. Well done to all activists who braved the rain and stood in defence of the Social Order. There was a fantastic response from local people. The Labour agenda for Ireland will continue to be opposed.

http://www.galwaynews.ie/17785-impromptu-protest-held-labour-office-over-abortion

The Labour Party general election candidate in Galway West says that the next government, no matter what parties it contains, will have to legislate for abortion in certain circumstances where there is a threat to the life of the mother.

City Councillor Derek Nolan says that the European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the Irish state must legislate for the decision of the Irish Supreme Court in the ‘X’ case – the Labour Party has agreed to do this and he says all other candidates of the main parties and independents in the constituency have said they would do the same.

Cllr Derek Nolan says certain “far-right” groups have been “lying” about his party’s stance on abortion.

His comments come following last Friday’s picket of Cllr Nolan’s constituency office in Prospect Hill where about 30 protestors took part in a two-hour ‘pro-life’ demonstration.

A spokesperson for the group, Maria Mahoney, told the Sentinel the impromptu demonstration was held because of comments made by Cllr Nolan on Galway Bay FM in which, she says, he was misrepresenting Labour’s and other parties’ stances on the controversial issue.

The demonstrators placed a row of empty baby buggies in front of the Labour office to symbolise the unborn children who would not be born if abortion were available in Ireland.

“Derek Nolan and (Labour leader) Eamon Gilmore have publicly stated they are in favour of legislating for abortion and we protested because he (Nolan) was misrepresenting the stated labour position on local radio,” said Ms Mahoney.

Release Gerry Mc Geough

2011_0218belfasttrialmcgeough0016-1

http://freegerry.com/

STATEMENT RELEASED BY THE JUSTICE FOR GERRY MCGEOUGH CAMPAIGN
FEBRUARY 20TH
AN APPEAL TO PEOPLE TO JOIN THE CAMPAIGN TO ABSTAIN FROM VOTING SINN FEIN

It was blatantly noticeable that there was no Sinn Fein elected representatives in the diplock court on Friday, 18th February to support Gerry McGeough. However, ordinary people filled the public gallery to capacity in support of Gerry and his family. At the same time, Arlene Foster, Roger Burton and Maurice Morrow, from the DUP, cheered and smiled as a father of four was jailed. After attending their crown court in support of Sammy Brush, they walked out of court and past a mother and four crying children left on the side of the street. Now after four years, and Gerry out of the way, Sinn Fein decides to pay lip service to helping him? However, it is very apparent to those following this politically motivated trial and incarceration all these years, that this is only an attempt to salvage votes come election time.
The Justice For Gerry McGeough Committee are now launching a campaign, north and south, asking people to abstain from voting Sinn Fein in all areas, most importantly Fermanagh and south Tyrone, until Gerry McGeough is PERMANENTLY released from jail and back with his family where he belongs. "LONG LIVE THE IRISH NATION".

Successful protest at illegal ‘Suicide workshop’ in Dublin

Well done to all involved in this successful picket in Dublin last Thursday.

http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/twice-as-many-protesters-as-attendees-at-dublin-suicide-workshop

DUBLIN, February 17, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – “Dr. Death” Philip Nitschke’s controversial visit to Ireland proved to be anti-climactic after only a handful of people turned out for his Dublin suicide workshop, over half of whom were journalists. The Australian Dr. Nitschke, one of the world’s most enthusiastic proponents of legalized euthanasia and assisted suicide, had attempted to vet attendees of the lecture, but had so few takers that he eventually decided to open the venue to anyone.

Even so, said Niamh Uí Bhriain of the Dublin-based Life Institute, only 20 people attended, 12 of whom were with the press. During the lecture, over 50 people demonstrated outside, carrying signs reading “Suicide ‘workshop’ illegal and sick,” and “Lock up your grannies, Dr. Death is here.”

Uí Bhriain told LSN that the numbers are a clear indication that Dr. Nitschke’s suicide workshop is not welcome in Ireland. Prior to the event she had written to Dublin’s Garda (police) Commissioner saying that the workshop contravened Ireland’s criminal code prohibition against counseling suicide, and asking that it be shut down.

Typically, Nitschke’s suicide workshops include information on how to commit suicide, for which he recommends the drug Nembutal. He has admitted that his organization, Exit International, has given information on how to obtain the drug from Mexico even to young people who have stated their intention to commit suicide. Nitschke is the inventor of the “exit bag,” a plastic bag that he says can be fitted over a person’s head to suffocate them after taking the drugs.

In her letter to the Gardai, Uí Bhriain said, “Clearly Dr Nitschke is counselling the suicide of others and his actions are in breach of the Act. This law was written to protect vulnerable people and, should the Gardai not enforce the law, this workshop will most likely result in the death of an Irish citizen at some stage in the future.”

Uí Bhriain said she was disappointed by the lack of response from the Garda Commissioner, saying it was a “disgrace.” “The Commissioner got hundreds of calls and all his office would say was ‘why are you calling us?’” she told LSN.
“Their official line was that they are monitoring things.”

The demonstration, which was supported by the Life Institute, was organized by Maria Mhic Meanmain whose elderly parents both died following debilitating illnesses. Mhic Meanmain said that Nitschke was “normalizing suicide, and bringing about a situation where elderly and sick people would feel they had a duty to die.”

“It makes me feel incredibly sad that people like Philip Nitschke are offering suicide as a solution to anything,” she said. “I lost both my parents to serious, debilitating illnesses. I know that palliative care, family support and love are what help at the end of life - not making elderly and sick people feel as if they are a burden.”

Mhic Meanmain added that if Nitschke succeeded in normalizing suicide, it would not be long before what was being now sold as a choice became an obligation: “This will lead to situations where elderly and terminally ill people are told that they are wasting resources and should stop being a burden to society.”

Niamh Uí Bhriain told LSN that Nitschke would be “responsible for the deaths of vulnerable people - both young and old - who were listening to his promotion of suicide.”

“We’re losing more than 600 people a year due to suicide, and every case is a tragedy which leaves families devastated,” she said. “Nitschke’s reckless and dangerous promotion of suicide will lead directly to the death of people in this country.”

Immigration an Election Issue

Challenge  the politicians on the door about immigration and demand the repatriation of immigrants and their descendents.

http://irishsolidarityparty.org/about/

Irish ‘politics’ for too long has lacked a full spectrum of opinion , comprising as it does a large centre ‘rump’ of main parties, each trying to persuade us they are distinguishable from each other, while sharing the same ‘we are for everything’ (and consequently nothing) populist stance on issues. Add in a Left that is paralysed by political correctness, and a few ‘bog-hole’ local-issue power-brokers and you have the perfect recipe for the disaster that has befallen Ireland since 1997, when the Ahern ‘Roy of the Rovers’ regime was voted to power.

In no area has this democratic deficit been more evident than in the issue that is a core concern for Irish Solidarity Party (ISP) – IMMIGRATION!  No greater change has taken place in Ireland since 1922 than the phenomenon of mass structured immigration into our country. We should distinguish between what has been happening in recent years  and the traditional pattern of immigration into Ireland. There was always immigration into this country, mainly from proximate European countries, but indeed from further away. This was natural ‘organic’ immigration. These people did not disturb the centuries old demographic make-up of our country, rather because they arrived gradually, they absorbed into society and became a functioning part of Ireland.

However, once Ireland gained her first real trappings of prosperity in the late 90′s , we quickly became the target for people from poor third-world countries seeking a better life under the guise of seeking Asylum , as provided for by a Geneva convention constructed in the middle of the last century in post WW2 Europe. It did not take into account the facility for cross-global travel to the destination that looked most attractive and had the least-developed system of political discourse to counter it. Hence these migrants crossed safe havens on their way from West Africa and spoke the magic entry-code ‘Asylum’. Mssrs Ahern and Mansergh, the credited architects of the Good Friday agreement then pulled off a stunning ‘own-goal’. Gushing with gormless good nature they decided that anyone born in the 32 counties of Ireland could automatically become an Irish citizen, something that increased the rush of expectant ladies to our shores, whereupon, they, as  a parent acquired the right to stay, often with partner as well. And so the show was rolling and it took 6 years to reverse that decision by which time 30,000 ‘New-Irish’ had been given an amnesty. By the way, the Labour Party and Sinn Féin, wanted the situation to continue.

After the first Nice referendum was defeated by democratic ballot of the people, we got, as usual, a second chance to ‘get it right’. NICE provided for the opening of all borders across the EU for citizens of the enlarged European super-state IF INDIVIDUAL STATES WISHED TO. We did have the option of a 7-year moratorium. Gushing with Glasnost once again we decided we should allow all the under-developed nations of Eastern Europe to send their people here. B. Cowen and Frank Ross (aka Prionnsias de Rossa) chiefly, led the chorus of assurance that only 15,000 would bother to come, and chastised those cautioning otherwise (such as Immigration Control Platform) that such calls were ‘fomenting racism’. Anyway 300,000 came, a bit of a miscalculation by our innumerate then Finance Minister. That reckless experiment in social engineering on a mass-scale by apprentice ‘planters’ is what sadly led to the crash, socially and economically of our ancient homeland.

This influx of willing labour was of course the secret reason for the FF/PD experiment. It suited the ‘Seanies’ and the ‘Gerries’ and all the other ‘developers’ who wanted to make mega-bucks covering our pleasant land with cavity-blocks. As incoming numbers grew, so more cavity blocks were laid, houses, apartments and all the associated paraphernalia grew in every corner site and field of the land. Irish people seeking to set out in life and buy a home became the big losers – property values rocketed, but the Seanies got richer and the Galway tent got fuller and everything was rosy, EXCEPT TO THOSE WHO SAW THE MADNESS AND THE INEVITABLE FOLLY AND COLLAPSE .

Amidst this European invasion, the asylum game continued apace, but now better funded by the host nation (aka the tax-payer), and spawned a pantheon of advocate organisations with CEOs and ‘Mission Statements’. All the way from China came 100,000, a great number students of English, many of whom forgot to actually learn any or indeed to go home when their course of ‘study’ had ended. Add in the colourful troups of gypsies and Ireland’s transformation into an overseas homeland for the nations of the world was accomplished.

The concept of multiculturalism entered the lexicon, and was regularly espoused as a major goal by all good-thinking high officials. Our President became a prominent cheer-leader for this new creed at every opportunity at home and abroad, cheerily advising us as well on RTÉ TV that we simply must have 50,000 migrants every year to satisfy our economy. Ireland was run solely as an economy for the benefit of bloated ruling elite in this period, NOT as a nation State for the benefit of its long enduring people.

The democratic deficit was evident in the behaviour of the political parties at election times. They reached uncharacteristic consensus in taking their ‘Vow of Silence’ on the issue if immigration at election time so no one spoke and a compliant media left them off the hook.  They will do so again in 2011, even though it is now clear to everyone that this ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’  squeamishness has contributed to the decline of Ireland to the level of a third-world country itself – ironic in that we were told what we were doing was saving the established ‘third-world’.

Ask your canvassing party politicos about all of this at your door-step, what part did they play or not play. You will, I suspect find them singularly ill-equipped to either understand, accept or do anything about these points.

If you want a voice – VOTE FOR IT. Ted Neville, who has regularly aired the situation described above in the media, is running in Cork South Central, and voters in other constituencies may find other candidates who share an understanding of ISP’s platform. Give Ted Neville and those others your No.1   …..No. 2s don’t work for new emerging candidates and parties ….it’s the way of PR.

Unbelievable Hubris

The weekly column of Bishop Richard Williamson

ELEISON  COMMENTS  CLXXXVIII  (Feb.19, 2011) :  UNBELIEVABLE  HUBRIS

Prophets of doom do not make themselves popular, but if they are ministers of God, they must tell the truth. Now some people say that such ministers should not concern themselves with politics or economics. But supposing politics have become a substitute religion, necessarily a false religion, as they put man in the place of God ?  And supposing economics (or finance) are about to make many people go hungry ?  Are ministers of God not allowed to ask, with Aristotle, how people are going to lead a virtuous life if they will be lacking in the basic necessities of life?  Is the virtuous life not the business of such ministers ?

Therefore I make no apology for quoting a remarkable paragraph from a reporter of the prestigious Wall Street Journal who relates how in the summer of 2006 he was rebuked by a senior adviser of then President Bush for having written an article critical of a former communications director in the White House. He says that at the time he did not fully comprehend what the adviser was saying to him, but afterwards he saw it as getting to the very heart of the Bush presidency. Here are the adviser's own words, as quoted by the reporter :--

People like the reporter, the adviser said to him, are "in what we call the reality-based community, meaning people who believe like you that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." The reporter should forget about yesterday's principles of respecting reality. "That's not the way the world works anymore. We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality - judiciously, as you will - then we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors... and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do." (See www.321 gold, Feb 2, "We are Victims of a Financial Coup d'Etat", by Catherine Fitts.)

This is not me moralizing about how the modern world runs on fantasy. This is a Washington insider of insiders, positively boasting of how the modern world is run on fantasy. Do not his words correspond exactly to the fabrications, for instance, of 9/11 and Saddam Hussein's "weapons of mass destruction", "created" to justify policies otherwise impossible to justify ?  The arrogance of such a scorn for reality, and for people respecting reality, is breath-taking.

The classical Greeks were pagans with no knowledge of the revealed God, but they had a clear grasp of that reality which is the moral framework of his universe, governed, as they saw it, by the gods. Any man, even hero, who defied that framework, like the Bush adviser, was guilty of "hubris", or of rearing up above his proper human station, and he would be crushed accordingly by the gods. Catholics, if you think that grace does away with nature, you had best re-learn from the pagans of olden times those lessons of nature which are more than ever needed today. Study  Xerxes in Aeschylus' Persae, Creon in Sophocles' Antigone., Pentheus in Euripides' Bacchae.  Pray the Holy Rosary for sure, but also read the famous classics, plant potatoes and pay down debt, say I!

British Government and PSF collusion to silence McGeough

The politically motivated arrest and now conviction of Gerry McGeough was a set up as soon as Gerry challenged PSF in the 2007 elections on an anti-psni platform at the time Adams/McGuinness were telling everyone to 'cooperate' with them. It's more than a sell out, it's treason. They worked hand and hand with the Brits to silence McGeough.
The only way to pay PSF back is at ELECTION TME and I would expect that anyone who is against injustice will give PSF the shaft they deserve when that time comes.
I can't begin to explain the sadness and disgust I feel at this time. If all these Irish republican groups, here and abroad, would put their egos in check - there is still work to be done on behalf of McGeough and all other Irish political prisoners.
In the USA, Gerry would be entitled to an appeal. I'm in the process of contacting his attorney to see what can be done.

Please continue to monitor the freegerry.com web site for updates and action items. An injustice of this kind (being sold out by his own comrades) should only serve to bring about a more united front against PSF, as they have proven to be the cunning cowards they are by their blatant silence with regard to his arrest and trial these past 4 years, not to mention their obvious absence from the diplock court today when Gerry's verdict was handed down.
I realize there are a number of people who do not share Gerry’s religious or political beliefs and that’s fine. However, they should not allow that to get in the way of them standing up to injustice, regardless of who the person is or what they believe. I have not been a PSF supporter since the signing of the GFA, but I didn’t let McAnespie hang out to dry in the last 4 years because he is a shinner.

MCGOUGH FOUND GUILTY - MCANESPIE WALKS

Gerry was found guilty on all counts and had his bail revoked and was dragged out of the court. McAnespie was found not guilty and walked. Pictures will follow tomorrow from the court.

STATEMENT BY GERRY MCGEOUGH ON EVE OF VERDICT

A chairde,
On the cusp of this so-called "verdict", I would like to take the opportunity of thanking all those who have stood loyally by us throughout the ordeal of these last four years.
In particular, I would like to mention Helen McClafferty, Martin Galvin, John McDonagh, Sandy Boyer and Pam Somers to name but a few of our many good friends in the United States. Among those who have stood fearlessly with us in Ireland are our friends and neighbours in the Justice for the McGeough Family Pressure Group. To all of you, and countless others, we owe a debt of gratitude.

By now, most people are aware of my position on this "legal" saga that we have endured ever since my arrest following the 2007 Assembly Elections here in the Six-Counties.
The whole thing is one massive charade, a total and utter contemptible sham. It has been a pathetic attempt by the British to intimidate and silence me; and it has failed miserably. I am not frightened by the British. I shall never be intimidated by them and even if they throw me in their jails others will speak out on my behalf. The voice of Irish Freedom and Independence will never be silenced. Our enemies have failed in their objective, regardless of the outcome of their little "verdict".
The British have no right to "rule" in any part of Ireland. Their presence in my country is illegal and immoral and it is imperative that they leave our shores immediately and forever.
I urge people not to be despondent if things go against me. Rather, avail of the opportunity to expose the cruel and vindictive nature of the British State in Ireland by organising an International Campaign to highlight the injustice of this persecution. Tyranny must not be allowed the last word.
Finally, for now, I thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. Always keep in mind the fact that no Englishman has the right to pass judgement upon any Irish Patriot on Irish soil, and by the Grace of God our Nation, and we its people, will one day soon witness an end to this evil foreign dominance of our country. May God Bless you all and Long Live the Irish Nation and its people, both at home and amongst our Diaspora. Éirinn go Brách!

Venue cancels ‘Dr. Death’ Nitschke suicide workshop in UK: police alerted about Dublin appearance

A very pertinent notice and action is needed. We oppose this immoral and illegal event and call for it to be cancelled.

http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/venue-cancels-dr-death-nitschke-suicide-workshop-in-uk-police-alerted-abou

DUBLIN, February 15, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Dr. Philip Nitschke, Australia’s leading proponent of legalized suicide and euthanasia, has been barred from holding a “suicide workshop” in Sussex, England, and may be barred from appearing in Dublin. Irish anti-euthanasia advocates have written to police pointing out that counseling suicide is a crime in Ireland and have asked the scheduled workshop to be shut down.

Nitschke had been scheduled to speak at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club in Eastbourne, East Sussex on February 21, to give a workshop on how to commit suicide. The club canceled the booking and a spokesman said that management had not realized the “significance” of the event and wanted to avoid the publicity of “something this controversial.”

Nitschke has already found another venue, however, and has announced that the lecture will go ahead at the Underground Theatre in Eastbourne.

Nitschke’s planned appearance in Dublin, however, might not go so smoothly. He is scheduled to participate at a public debate at University College Dublin on Wednesday February 16, and give a suicide workshop the next day at Seomra Spraoi, a radical leftist social organization that hosted Nitschke in March last year.

Niamh Uí Bhriain of the Life Institute has contacted the Dublin garda (police) commissioner, asking that the event be shut down.

The Irish criminal code states: “A person who aids, abets, counsels or procures the suicide of another, or an attempt by another to commit suicide, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years.”

Nitschke’s workshop, which has been organized with the help of the group Atheist Ireland, is in clear violation of the law, said Uí Bhriain. In her letter, Uí Bhriain told Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan, “This law was written to protect vulnerable people and, should the Gardai not enforce the law, this workshop will most likely result in the death of an Irish citizen at some stage in the future.”

“According to numerous media reports and Dr. Nitschke’s own website the workshop will coach people in how to end their lives, either by explaining how to obtain euthanasia drugs, or by demonstrating a step-by-step technique of covering the head with a bag filled with gas.”
Uí Bhriain called Nitschke’s lecture a “cheap stunt” organized by a tiny group of mavericks who “craved publicity.” Last March, negative publicity surrounding Nitschke’s tour resulted in cancellation of four venues.
Dublin resident Tom Curran says he formed Exit International Ireland after Nitschke’s appearance last year and says the group has 60 members. Curran told the Sunday Post that he had sought clarification on the legality of his involvement with the group: ‘‘I was told that the only way I would get clarification was if charges were brought against me.”

In her letter to police, Uí Bhriain said, “The number of people who lose their lives to suicide are growing year on year in Ireland. What Philip Nitschke is promoting is immoral, illegal and contrary to common decency.”

Last year the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine released a study showing that 51 people around Australia have died from overdoses of Nembutal, the drug that Nitschke recommends for suicide, between July 2000 and November 2009. In February last year, Nitschke admitted that his organization had provided information to people in their 20s who were terminally ill or “suffering chronic pain,” on how to obtain Nembutal from Mexico.

The Life Institute has urged Commissioner Martin Callinan to take action to stop the workshop. The group has also asked pro-life supporters to contact the commissioner.

After Australia’s Northern Territory briefly legalized euthanasia, Nitschke claims he became the first doctor in the world to administer a legal lethal injection. He is one of the world’s busiest campaigners for euthanasia and assisted suicide, having written two books, titled, “Killing Me Softly: Voluntary Euthanasia And The Road To The Peaceful Pill” and “The Peaceful Pill Handbook” that give advice on how to commit suicide.

In 2000, he announced his hopes of buying a ship that would bring the means to commit suicide to people in countries where it is illegal. His group, Exit International, produces plastic bags that he endorses for use in committing suicide.

Nitschke has said he is in favor of opening legal assisted suicide to anyone who wants it, to the “depressed, the elderly bereaved, the troubled teen,” and not just to people with terminal illnesses.

Mubarak and Egypt

FC have a pertinent analysis on happenings in Egypt.

http://finalconflictblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/mubarak-and-egypt-what-spooks-will-be.html

Mubarak has resigned and the Egyptian Army, bankrolled by the USA, is in charge.
Will Egypt become a "democracy" or will other events come to pass?
The biggest question of all: will Egypt put the desires and needs of Egyptians first - or will it continue to kowtow to America and Israel?
That is what certain people in Tel Aviv, New York and Westminster will be most interested in.
When the Palestinians voted in Hamas, the likes of Israel and her allies took action. They started a civil war and blockaded the Palestinian areas.
You see, dear reader, it's not about democracy (like wot they told us in Iraq and Afghany) because if it was they wouldn't have backed Mubarak for 30 years.
It's about who supports Israel and what is in the Zionists' best interests. Always has been, always will be.
There will be a lot of jittery people in the Unholy Triumvirate of Tel Aviv, New York and Westminster, just as there will be a lot of spooks on the streets and behind the scenes in Egypt.
Their prime concern: Egyptian policy towards Israel. Simple as guvnor.

Any vote for the Labour Party is a vote for abortion

http://www.independent.ie/opinion/analysis/david-quinn-any-vote-for-the-labour-party-is-a-vote-for-abortion-2535719.html

By David Quinn

Friday February 11 2011

Heading into Mass on Sunday I spotted the local Fine Gael and Labour candidates canvassing outside. The presence of the Labour candidate struck me as odd, to put it mildly. Labour party policy is pro-abortion. Therefore, on a very important issue Labour is utterly at variance with the beliefs of the vast majority of serious-minded practising Catholics.

Politicians seek votes where they may, but given the profound gulf between Labour and the Catholic Church on this issue, it seemed particularly cynical to be canvassing for votes in this way.

I've been amazed in the last few weeks at the number of practising Catholics I've come across who are considering voting for Labour. Given that Labour is pro-abortion, how do they justify this?

It turns out a lot of them haven't the first clue about Labour's position on abortion. Amazing, but true. They don't know, for example, that Labour wants to legislate for the X case ruling of 1992.

That ruling allows for abortion, and furthermore, it permits abortion simply on the say-so of a medical practitioner -- it doesn't have to be a doctor or psychiatrist -- who is willing to say that his or her patient is suicidal.

In addition, Eamon Gilmore favours abortion where the 'health' of the mother is in danger. In practice, this would replicate in Ireland the British abortion law. In Britain, abortion is permitted where a woman's life or health is at risk. Health includes mental health. In practice, this translates into abortion-on-demand.

Gilmore favours this policy despite the fact that Ireland is the safest place in the world for a woman to have a baby, according to World Health Organisation figures.

And from a Catholic and Christian point of view, it is not only Labour's stance on abortion that is problematic. It favours same-sex marriage and same-sex adoption. Its attitude towards denominational schools is also a problem.

If the first category of Catholics and Christians thinking of voting for Labour are those who don't know the party's position on abortion, there is a second category that somehow manages to rationalise away the Labour position, to say that it doesn't matter, or that there are more important issues to be considered.

Some Catholics I've come across seem to think Labour doesn't really mean it. Sorry, it does. If it gets a chance -- and that will be up to FG -- we will have abortion in this country.

Others protest that they are not single-issue voters. But no one is asking them to be. However, some issues are of first-order importance and one of them is the right to life.

Still others will say that Labour's position on abortion must be balanced against its position on other issues also of importance to Christians, namely those that generally fall under the heading of 'social justice'.

They claim that Labour's policies on such issues as poverty, health and education outweigh its policy on abortion.

At a stretch this might be true if Fine Gael and Fianna Fail were championing policies that would definitely and deliberately harm the poor and the sick and the uneducated.

But the differences between the three main parties on these issues are actually rather small, protestations to the contrary notwithstanding. We can argue 'til the cows come home about which set of policies will do more harm or more good to this or that set of people. But this is a prudential judgment, not a moral one.

At a minimum, neither Fine Gael nor Fianna Fail is setting out to do harm to the poor and the sick, whereas Labour's policy on abortion would do very deliberate harm to the unborn. That is not a prudential judgement. That is a fact.

Immigration and Cork South Central

Immigration has been the elephant in the room for the political elite and all the political parties support mass-immigration into Ireland.

http://irishsolidarityparty.org/about/

About

Irish ‘politics’ for too long has lacked a full spectrum of opinion , comprising as it does a large centre ‘rump’ of main parties, each trying to persuade us they are distinguishable from each other, while sharing the same ‘we are for everything’ (and consequently nothing) populist stance on issues. Add in the left and an anarchic far-left, and local ‘bog-hole’ independents and you have the perfect recipe for the disaster that has befallen Ireland since 1997, when the Ahern ‘Roy of the Rovers’ regime was voted to power.

Go n-eirí linn …..

Television – The Unreality of Your Tube

An excellent article here.

http://www.sovereignindependent.com/?p=13390

By Neil Foster, 10th February 2011

When I wake up in the morning, and before I wander through to my living room, the first thing I hear is the television set being switched on in the upstairs flat; their living room being above my bedroom. This happens almost every morning. The initial problem I have with it at 7am is that it wakes me up but the main problem I have with it is that the person upstairs is not even watching it. I can hear them walking through their flat into other rooms whilst the TV is running in the background.

What is it that makes people switch on a TV first thing in the morning as soon as they get up? Is it habit or is there something else going on here?
Are these people just conditioned to automatically reach for the remote control in the morning or are they genuinely interested in what the TV has to tell them and if so why?

If it is indeed an automatic reflex one has to wonder what it is that has brought people to behave in such an irrational manner. It doesn’t make sense to switch on a TV then go for a stroll through your home when you can’t see and I’m sure can barely hear the thing.
Of course, my addicted neighbour does eventually park themselves in front of it for their daily fix. What it is they watch I don’t know but it sounds, in as much as I can hear it, just like every other early morning breakfast talk show. A steady diet of cookery, celebrity gossip, fashion and mundane chit chat between those scrupulously adorned presenters who are the lifelong friends of their adoring public.

Let’s face it, television is portrayed as entertainment predominantly and thus it appeals to those who feel the need to be entertained. So why do people feel they need to be entertained? Is it that they are incapable of entertaining themselves, through a lack of imagination or motivation? Perhaps so, perhaps they’re just lazy and enjoy hours slumped on the sofa watching mindless programs without having to think about their own world at all. Or perhaps they fantasize about the world portrayed on TV in the vain hope that one day they too can be the latest celebrity gossip column idol with their own coterie of adoring groupies? Aren’t the next generation already being conditioned to view themselves on televisions as if it were normal to be under constant survelillance as if this were a normal state to live in, in shops, buses, on the street and even in their schools, not to mention online?

Whatever the reason people ‘watch’ television, it must be pointed out that the real purpose of television has as much to do with entertainment as ‘reptilian conspiracies’ have to do with truthful, investigative news reporting. They are incompatible bedfellows!

Television is simply the best propaganda tool ever invented and is used by those who wish to manipulate and control the minds of the general public who are more than willing to sacrifice their rational thought processes by voluntarily parking themselves in front of an electronic mind control box for hours at a time every day of their lives. Why do you think that every country has a state run and owned television station which is paid for by you? It doesn’t stop at state run TV of course as every commercial channel is also used in the same way to propagandise you through its ‘programmes’. They’ve been called ‘programmes’ since the advent of television which should at least cause you to wonder why this word was chosen at all. After all, ‘programmes’ are used to program!

Is it any wonder that the vast majority of people hold almost the exact same points of view on almost any topic? There may be slight variations, such as apparently opposing sides of a political debate for example, but those sides have already been well chosen in advance and any ‘debate’ which is orchestrated on television is simply acted out to insure that the general public never move beyond the argument, or stray outside the controlled and widely televised ‘box’.

It should therefore be borne in mind that considering that these dramas, comedies, movies and in particular, news broadcasts, are called ‘programmes’, the logical conclusion to come to is that you are being ‘programmed’ by the contents of such ‘programmes’. This of course is the language of the computer and your brain is your only ‘personal’ computer for as long as you are willing to hold onto it.

But what are you being ‘programmed’ for?

A rather simplistic, but nonetheless true answer, is that these ‘programmes’ are used to form your opinions, ideas and values in terms of morality, religious belief etc. and to impose a view of the world on you which without any other means of investigation you will simply embed in your mind which will in turn act upon your own thought processes and therefore form your opinions. These are then checked by so called ‘opinion polls’ which in themselves form part of the ‘programming’ to imply that whatever the result poll must be true. That’s not to say that the poll actually ever took place. I’ve personally never met anyone who took part in or conducted one, but maybe I’m just lucky.

Polls are in fact used to determine whether the propaganda machine is getting the message across and if not then how to restructure the message to ensure public opinion forms in the correct direction in which those, in whose interests it is, want you to go. Television is not the only propaganda tool, it is simply the best. The mainstream print media, the film industry, novelists etc. all have their role to play too.

Through all of these propaganda tools you are being ‘led to believe’, and conditioned not to think for yourself. Needless to say, those who do not or cannot think for themselves and simply soak up every morsel of propaganda put themselves, mind and body, in the hands of sinister manipulators who will promote the most horrendous concepts and immoral behaviour with consummate ease upon an unsuspecting and gullible public if they are allowed or in fact authorised to do so. This is why we receive such a skewed and seemingly frightening view of the world as this is the technique used to control the masses. Without authorisation, the truth will never be revealed to the public and they will be controlled and manipulated through the use of fear as weapon on their minds.

Without a scared population a government has little control. It is therefore in their interests to ensure fear is disseminated into the public psyche by way of television in particular which has a unique position in being able to influence you and your perceptions of the world through repeated news broadcasts on various ‘channels’ all reading from the same script. The word ‘channel’ can of course be linked directly to ‘programming’. The ‘programmes’ are ‘channeled’ into your mind.

This of course can go wrong at times when the script is read out early and the obvious manipulation of the media is plain to see as was the case when on 9/11 it was reported some 25 minutes early that ‘Building 7’ had collapsed despite it being clearly visible in the background of the video feed still standing.

But I digress. Television also works on the brain in terms of the ‘flicker rate’ at which it is set to interact with your brainwave patterns. This creates an ‘alpha’ state where you are by all intents and purposes in a trance state whereby you take in the messages from the television without realising that the messages contained in the ‘programmes’ are having a direct bearing on your future thought processes. This is indeed a powerful weapon being used against an unsuspecting public who only see the celebrity gossip, blood and gore of the dramas and movies and the utterly fictitious ‘news’ reports and so called political ‘debates’ without the slightest idea as to what is being done to their minds.
We have such ‘programmes’ as ‘Big Brother’ where people will numbly sit and watch so called ‘celebrities’ behaving like utter imbeciles in a controlled environment, supposedly locked in a house, like laboratory rats being examined by amateur psychiatrists in the form of the general public when at the same time cameras are actually being installed in people’s homes in Britain to allow the state to watch YOU in your own home!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1228876/Secret-CCTV-cameras-fitted-INSIDE-peoples-homes-spy-neighbours.html

The public have been duped into believing that the only form of entertainment worth indulging in, without having to leave the house and with copious amounts of cheap alcohol readily available to compliment the banality, is the television with its cornucopia of celebrities and actors whose antics serve to degrade society to whatever level the manipulators of the medium of television and the general media decide they wish to take the public next.

I don’t think anyone truly believes that society has improved in their lifetimes unless they judge improvement in terms of materialistic wealth which in itself was promoted by the advent of television advertising where wants were created over needs.
Society has not only been degraded by television and the wider media but has also been downgraded in terms of what has happened to the intellectual ability and capacity of the general public to think for themselves and to avoid the pitfalls of propaganda which at one time or another we must all admit we’ve fallen for. It’s time to switch it off.

Without television and less so radio, government would have a hard time convincing the public that danger existed at every turn and that a chunk of ice falling of the western edge of Antarctica was a result of manmade global warming or floods in Bangladesh were unique. They would also find it almost impossible to convince us that there were boogeymen in the guise of extremist terrorist hiding in every bus shelter to justify the installation of billions of pounds of surveillance equipment across the country.
Without television we would why this was happening would we not? Without television we would be talking to our neighbours and meeting friends to discuss whatever is happening in your own locality and asking questions of local political ‘leaders’ when things went wrong. You would be more likely to see the world around you, not as it’s portrayed through monopolistic media outlets such as Sky TV or the BBC. You might actually have to retune your mind and train yourself to think again.

Thinking in itself seems to be a dying art when we hear nothing but discussions taking place in the local bar or supermarket about who did what and where and to who in TV soap operas or cries of ‘Oh that’s terrible, did you see such and such on the news?’
Unless the public start to see the television through different eyes, namely those of the propagandists who run the ‘entertainment’ industry, then they will simply be the sheep in the paddock for the wolves to salivate over, picking them off one by one with promises of impending doom and gloom or riches beyond their dreams.

However, should you find this impossible and whichever realm of fantasy or fiction you fall into I’m sure there’s a ‘reality programme’ around the corner to ensure you that you’re clued up and perfectly normal so tune into your television and tune out of of reality!

Szczerbiec - Idzie NaRa

David Cameron Apes BNP Policy: More Integration

There has much been made of Dave speaking out against multi-culturalism in Britain. FC have an excellent article that we are happy to repost below.

http://finalconflictblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/david-cameron-apes-bnp-policy-more.html

David Cameron has spoken out against multi-culturalism.
Hooray? No, not at all.
The "we're in it altogether" squillionaire is not about to denounce mass immigration, the loss of indigenous culture or the fact that Europeans will be a minority in these islands in a few decades: a terrible legacy of Tory and Labour misrule.
No. Perish the thought that he would do anything honourable.
He is a traitor. He is a Zionist. He will one day walk away and work for the banks (like Blair and Mandelson before him). He is part of the problem.
Now he is aping BNP policy.

Yes. BNP policy.
Multi-culti is wrong. We all know that. It has been the elephant in the room for decades past. But the parties and media closed off any genuine discussion of it.
But to do what Cameron is doing, and what the BNP has been proposing, is racial genocide and will further wreck our lands.
He, like the BNP, is calling for an end to multi-culturalism (they are using he term as a kind of racial/cultural apartheid) and for it to be replaced by integration!
Yes, rejoice all you racial nationalists! Your cause was taken over years ago by idiots who, to get a few votes and Brussels placements, started courting non-Muslim support and saying how great it is that Blacks, Hindus etc. integrate, but how Muslims are the problem because they don't integrate.

Now it will be government policy. The BNP can disband! Their job is done!
Now we will have Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus and coloureds mixing in with our kids whether we -or they - want it or not

With increased integration we will lose more of our identity and the coloureds can further argue that they too are "British."
Those happy photos in BNP papers and on BNP websites of British Whites hugging British coloureds and Asians has now been writ large.
Years ago we attacked the BNP for saying blacks were "British" whilst they attacked White Polish migrants (would you rather your daughter marry a Pole or Latvian? Or an African or Asian?).

This has now come full circle.
It is we, the peoples of Britain who will suffer. The rich, like Cameron, can move away from immigrants. Their idea of integration is what culture their au pair or cleaner comes from, which restaurant they will eat in, or (like Billy Bragg!) how well they get on with the petrol station attendant!
I have lived in heavily Asian areas, and it is not fun.
The policy of dispersal will make more race-mixing possible, will make a bad situation worse as vast numbers of non-Europeans move into more areas, more schools etc. etc. to be followed by the growing numbers of Somalis, Afghanis and other non-Whites still flooding in, no doubt to be dispersed to help integrate.
I hope the idiots in the BNP leadership who pushed their integrationist agenda years ago, just like they pushed their quasi-Zionist "it's all the Muzzies fault" line, are happy.
The chickens - of all shades and colours! - are coming home to roost.
RIP White Britain.
