Nurturing small crafts ensures a healthy and rewarding work

The Just Price at the centre enforces small crafts and guilds. Small is good. Guildism restores society. In Quadragesimo Anno, Pope Pius XI wrote:

"The social policy of the State, therefore, must devote itself to the re-establishment of the Industries and Professions."

A Distributist concept is the ownership of the tools and the crafts by craftsmen, their families and expand apprentices within the guild. Pope Leo XIII makes a defence of private property in Rerum Novarum . " The right to possess private property is derived from nature, not from man; and the State has the right to control its use in the interests of the public good alone,  but by no means to absorb it altogether (47)"

The Social principles of the Middle Ages are found in the system of Guilds. Great principles to apply to your society today. An alternative to the failed economic ventures of both the political right and the left.
