Economics & Salvation
A unique edition of Pope Pius XI's encyclical Quadragesimo Anno, On the Reconstruction of the Social Order. Contains an introduction by Bishop Richard N. Williamson and four color graphs and charts by Bishop Williamson to help the reader gain a deeper understanding of the text. An invaluable study guide.
Written partially in response to the Great Depression, the Holy Father sets forth the principles of Catholic social order. This includes the right of a worker to a just wage, the proper balance of capital and labor, the principle of subsidiarity, the twin dangers of economic individualism and collectivism, the inherent problems of Socialism, the proper distribution of productive property and the restoration of the guilds.
"The present state of affairs...clearly indicates the way in which We ought to proceed. For We are now confronted, as more than once before in the history of the Church, with a world that in large part has almost fallen back into paganism. That these whole classes of men may be brought back to Christ Whom they have denied, we must recruit and train from among them, themselves, auxiliary soldiers of the Church who know them well and their minds and wishes, and can reach their hearts with a tender brotherly love. The first and immediate apostles to the workers ought to be workers; the apostles to those who follow industry and trade ought to be from among them themselves."

Senator John McCain is NOT pro-Life!!!
Letter to the Remnant by Hugh Akins,, League of the Kingship of Christ
My Friends:
Alright, alright! Quite enough of you have bombarded me with e-mails in the last few days – emotional, horrified, frustrated and confused – over Chris Ferrara’s latest Remnant article. You can stop writing now. You’ve got my attention.
For those of you that don’t know, we are referring to the article, “Why I Am Voting Republican This Year,” in the Sept. 15th issue of The Remnant, which unapologetically proclaims Senator John McCain and the Republican Party as more or less integrally pro-life.
You read that correctly.
McCain pro-life? Imagine that – if you can. I am as surprised and disappointed as you that Chris would even think of authoring such a piece and that The Remnant would actually publish it.
My goodness! Have we all lost our sanity? John McCain, PRO-LIFE??? This man who advocates brute military aggression and indiscriminate mass-murder in all the unnecessary, unprovoked and morally unjust bi-partisan wars Washington is waging under the gigantic scam of freedom, security, democracy and the struggle against Islamic fanaticism?
Are we even speaking of the SAME Senator John McCain here???
My friends, take a deep breath, relax, calm yourselves … McCain is NOT – REPEAT, NOT! – in any sense of the word, PRO-LIFE! If he is pro-life, words have completely lost their meaning. Obviously Chris Ferrara and The Remnant have made a mistake. A little battle fatigue perhaps? Maybe wishful thinking?
Whatever the case may be, let’s try and put this in some kind of perspective and at the same time do a little damage control. Chris suggests that all earnest Catholics should vote for a man
* Who says he’s Catholic but who divorced and remarried, cheated on his wife while she was ill, and has no qualms about flaunting his adulterous affair in public;
* Who refused year after year to support Congressman Ron Paul’s Sanctity of Life Act, which, if passed, would have IMMEDIATELY reversed Roe v. Wade and ended, once and for all, the ongoing abortion-on-demand slaughter of innocents. Every genuine pro-lifer would have jumped at the opportunity to back this legislation. McCain did not;
* Who was seriously considering a PRO-CHOICE running mate just days before selecting Mrs. Palin. His own campaign people let this slip out;
* Who, in 2000, openly stated that he did NOT favor overturning Roe v. Wade;
* Who was a member of the infamous “Gang of 14” senators of both parties who vigorously opposed the appointment of pro-life judges;
* Who voted for pro-abortion justice, Stephen Breyer and pro-abortion ACLU attorney Ruth Ginsburg;
* Who co-sponsored the McCain-Feingold bill designed to silence pro-life (as well as pro-gun rights) voices;
* Who, as senator, has repeatedly voted to continue and even increase taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, one of the most notorious abortion rights organizations in the US;
* Who consistently supports the Masonic-Zionist United Nations, the world’s single largest abortion advocate, second to none;
* Who wholeheartedly supports Israel, the world’s most lethal terrorist state where genocide is standard operational procedure and where abortion is not only widely practiced but is considered, as it is in America, a cure-all for emotional and economic woes;
* Who strongly favors bolstering Red China, economically and strategically, even as this godless totalitarian regime not only continues its monstrous one-child policy but which practices other heinous crimes such as forced sterilizations, forced abortions and even infanticide;
* Who remains a staunch apologist for the phony War on Terror which specializes in fighting Israel’s wars and in spreading death and destruction among many CHRISTIAN people in the Middle East, women and children;
* Who can only accurately be described as a perfidious puppet of the Rothschilds and a Zionist-Neocon warmonger who seems absolutely determined, if elected president, to bring on a nuclear World War III.
Sorry Chris. With all due respect to you and to Michael Matt of The Remnant, such a man as John McCain – such a monster as he – cannot possibly be considered pro-life. He is a pro-DEATH politician who cannot possibly be considered worthy of a Catholic’s vote. May God forgive you if you’ve managed to convince some weak-minded Catholics to cast their lot in favor of such reprobacy?
No differently than Senator Obama, President Bush, the Clintons and many others, McCain is, and has long been, an agent of the Lodge and the Synagogue in their all-out war against Christ our King. As voting necessarily implies a stamp of approval, there’s no way a Catholic acting in good conscience could possibly vote for such an evil doer as John McCain. Haven’t we all had quite enough of this madness of choosing the lesser of two evils? I haven’t done it in decades and vowed never to stoop that low again. We’re all supposed to grow in grace, not slide backwards. Moral-minded people have other options available to them than to dabble in criminal politics. We must live up to that great nobility – to that excelsior spirit – that membership in the Mystical Body of Christ requires of us. Today’s lesser evils are far too evil to even consider an endorsement of any kind.
Sane men are all in agreement over how bad Obama is. But does McCain offer us any real choice? Chris Ferrara says yes. I totally disagree. I say absolutely not. What you say is between you and God.
Besides, even if McCain were as reliably pro-life as the article in question suggests – which, as I’ve shown, he is NOT – still, a vote for McCain is nonetheless a personal endorsement of all the bold-faced lies, all the Totalitarian and Police State initiatives, all the war crimes and crimes against humanity, all the flagrant acts of treason against the American people, and all the death, carnage and human suffering wrought by the Bush administration, of which McCain is an ardent supporter.
Have we so easily forgotten that the Patriot Act and the Department of Homeland Security are really all about the Sovietization of America under the deadly pretense of protecting us from terrorism? This same terrorism which the American government helped precipitate by its wholesale support of Israel’s cruel and frenzied militarism and mass-atrocities? Have we forgotten that this American brand of Communism (that’s essentially what it is even if it hides behind the façade of evolutionary democracy) is, just like Communism in Russia, China or anywhere else, intrinsically evil, and that no one who would preserve Christian civilization may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever (per Pope Pius X I)? How is voting for McCain NOT collaborating in this systematic communization of America and corresponding enslavement of our families? It shocks and appalls me that an intelligent and conscientious Catholic like Chris Ferrara, being also a devoted family man entrusted by God with the custody of small children who look trustingly to him for their security, does not see the broader picture and the most grave implications of what he is advocating.
Actually, I could take this a step further. All things considered, a good argument could even be presented that McCain is the GREATER not the lesser of the two evils, given his psycho-sadistic passion for more and more wars and endless blood-letting. Or, at the very least, EQUALLY evil as Obama & Company. But the lesser evil? I sincerely doubt it.
The bottom line is this: both men, both Republicans and Democrats, are pawns of the same Secret Societies that rule from the shadows, and both have consecrated themselves to the same agenda, the same ultimate aim. The only differences of any measure are the separate paths they have chosen to reach their common objective, the one preferring the Warfare State, the other the Welfare State, in any event both leading to the Omnipotent State – atheistic and tyrannical.
Be that as it may, it is by their fruits that we shall know them. And it is not just by a Catholic conscience, but by a properly formed and profoundly informed Catholic conscience, that we should either cast – or withhold – our votes come election day.
With that I rest my case.
At least now you’ve heard both arguments, for and against McCain.
In Jesus our King and Mary our Queen,
Hugh Akins

Youth Pleads
Eleison Comments LXVI
A 26-year old Buenos Aires student wrote to me one month ago with an earnest plea. Here it is:
“… I consider that your appreciation of the present situation in all areas is correct, and I agree. I have listened to conferences and read articles of yours, and I understand your pessimism and share it in part. It can hardly be avoided if one takes an overall view of the world in which we live. I have also heard from young folk of the SSPX what you think and say. In all humility, I earnestly beg of you, especially when you are addressing young people, male or female, please give your criticisms a positive slant. Please add to what you say some words of encouragement, hope and perseverance. Yours…. Patricio.”
Dear Patrick, I have much sympathy with your entreaty. You belong to a generation that has been gravely misled by a world that has for several centuries been going wrong, and is now on the brink of catastrophe, humanly speaking. With your head you recognize that the situation is as grave as I say it is, but your heart is nevertheless troubled. Here is Our Lord’s own answer:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid” (Jn XIV, 27). And several verses earlier: “Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me” (Jn XIV, 1). In other words, in the agitation and distress being felt by the Apostles after the Last Supper as the wicked world is closing in on their Divine Master – just like today! – they are not to pretend that the world is not as wicked as they know it is, instead they are to activate their Catholic Faith!
Patrick, with your Faith you know, amongst other things, firstly that the Lord God has everything perfectly under control, and all the devils of Hell (and earth) cannot lift a finger without His permission. Secondly, that He has a master plan to bring an even greater good out of today’s rampant evil. Thirdly, that if today’s godlessness were not producing chaos, that would be a far greater catastrophe than its imminent crash will be, because the tranquil success of godlessness would mean that we human beings were meant to be no more than beasts. Patrick, believe in God, believe also in Our Lord! And pray His Mother’s Holy Rosary. Kyrie Eleison.

Father Fahey
Mike Sadowski
Father Fahey
The name of Fr. Denis Fahey is synonymous with the defense of the Social Kingship of Christ and the promotion of the Divine Programme for order.
When a recrudescent Modernism obscures Our Lord's Kingship and hamstrings the Church in effectively countering widespread societal decay, there is tremendous aid to be found in the works of this brilliant Irish priest. We may look to "the Six Points of Our Lord's Programme for Order" enumerated by Fr. Fahey to reaffirm Our Lord's Social Kingship and to serve as a clear and accessible guide for evaluating those policies which will produce good fruit and those which will only contribute to further ills.
Much of Fr. Fahey's priestly formation was in Rome during the struggle against Modernism at the beginning of the twentieth century. This tempestuous time in Rome profoundly affected him so that while there he took up that cause to which he dedicated his whole life.
Having come to see, "...the real significance of the history of the world, as the acceptance and rejection of Our Lord's Programme for Order," he recognized the paramount importance of making known and promoting the acceptance of that Programme - not only for the spiritual good, but even for the temporal good of society. Repeatedly, at the Tomb of St. Peter, Fr. Fahey promised St. Peter that if he ever had the chance he would, "?teach the truth about his Master in the way he and his successors, the Roman Pontiffs, wanted it done." A life's work was spent fulfilling this promise. It centered upon the following six points:
Programme of Christ the King through His Mystical Body, the Catholic Church -
FIRSTLY, The Catholic Church, Supernatural and Supranational, is the One Way established by God for the ordered return of human beings to Him. All States and Nations are bound to acknowledge it as such, and all men of all nations are called upon to enter into it as Members of Christ.
SECONDLY, The Catholic Church is the sole divinely-appointed Guardian of the whole moral law, natural and revealed.
THIRDLY, Christian Marriage, the foundation of the Christian Family, as the Symbol of the union of Christ and His Mystical Body, is One and Indissoluble.
FOURTHLY, Children must be educated as Members of Christ's Mystical Body, so that they may be able to look at everything, nationality included, from that standpoint.
FIFTHLY, Ownership of property should be widely diffused, in order to facilitate families in procuring a sufficiency of material goods for their members. Unions of owners and workers in Guilds will reflect the solidarity of the Mystical Body of Christ.
SIXTHLY, The Monetary System of a country is meant to be at the service of production in view of the virtuous life of Members of Christ in happy families. (The Kingship of Christ and Organised Naturalism, pp. 52-53)
In our time - steeped as it is in so many false principles and pernicious errors - the truth, expressed with clarity, may initially have a sting to it like antiseptic on a wound. There is this quality to much of Fr. Fahey's writing. So it is important to keep in mind that the teachings given in his work are not simply his own, but the perennial teachings of the Popes. There is an emphasis on those Papal teachings against a host of modern errors that gained ascendancy during and after the French Revolution.
Fr. Fahey's work - with its depth, complexity and extensive documentation - is not fully grasped without some effort. Yet, by distilling the Church's social teachings to its essence in "the Six Points of Our Lord's Programme for Order," he provides an initial understanding, accessible to all. This may be built upon and more fully developed as allowed by time and aptitude. For example, in reading excerpts of the various Papal documents that account for the first two points and Fr. Fahey's explanations regarding them, it is clear that the authority of the State is distinct from that of the Church - no theocracy. However, in view of man's supernatural end and the good of souls, there is an "Indirect Power" of the Church in its interrelation with the State. While this may be an uncomfortable position to express in a secularised society, the decline of numerous social indicators might give one pause to reflect on this caveat from Fr. Fahey: "Whatever is in harmony with the Divine Progamme for order will make for real progress. Whatever is opposed to it spells decay and death."
This outlook was prompted by Pope St. Pius X who strongly recommended the works of Cardinal Pie, which Fr. Fahey diligently studied. In A Brief Sketch of My Life Work, Fr. Fahey wrote, "It is to Cardinal Pie that I owe the understanding of the full meaning of 'Thy Kingdom Come' in the Our Father. 'Our Lord's Kingdom is meant to come, not only in individual souls and in heaven, but on earth through the submission of States and Nations to His rule?.The dethronement of God on Earth is a crime, to which we must never become resigned. Let us never cease to protest against it.'" Regarding the Divine Programme, Fr. Fahey also explains in the same work that, "His Programme is not merely the negative one of avoiding sin, but the Positive one of promoting an organisation of society such that it will favour the diffusion and conservation of the Supernatural Life of members of Christ. Christ's Priesthood and Christ's Kingship are to be distinguished, but they are not meant to be separated."
The Catholic historian Hilaire Belloc succinctly noted what at present seems so largely forgotten: "The Faith is Europe. And Europe is the Faith." Now, the European Union - heedless of the repeated urgings of John Paul II - would not even acknowledge the Christian origin of Europe. Is this a tacit counterpart to the cry, "We have no king but Caesar."? Our King is Christ. Reminding the world of this is the first step to genuine progress.
